FUGITIVE HUNT
A compound in Texas becomes a focal point as Arizona officials say the leader of polygamous sect is hiding there
Ranch hide-out claim disputed

Warren Jeffs
With 1,700 hilly acres and a gate accessible from a maze of back roads, the Yearn for Zion Ranch could be an ideal hide-out.

Whether the West Texas compound is being used by polygamous sect leader Warren Jeffs during his five-month flight from sexual misconduct charges became a contentious issue last week when Arizona officials suggested Jeffs could be captured there in short order.
(snip)

"He is living on cash. It seems he is traveling a lot and isn't staying in one place a long time," said Andrea Esquer, Goddard's spokeswoman. "And he has people willing to give him refuge."

Jeffs was indicted in Mohave County, Ariz., on two counts of sexual conduct with a minor and one count of conspiracy to commit sexual conduct with a minor for marrying a 16-year-old girl to a much older married man. Federal officials later charged him with unlawful flight to avoid prosecution and he was placed on the FBI's "Most Wanted" list. Jeffs' wanted poster warns he "may travel with a number of loyal and armed bodyguards."

1. Silly man. If he'd just put Poppy Bush on the payrole like
his fellow cult leader The Rev. Dr. Sun Myung Moon, he wouldn't have to worry about a thing.

3. he didn't convince them
it's the fathers you have to convince, not the women or girls. Women don't have that type of power in these patriarchal cults.

4. Apparently, they're brainwashed at an early age.
And in a "closed community". Here's what I just Googled:

>
>
"Salt Lake City writer John Llewellyn, a former fundamentalist Mormon, says: 'The key factor in controlling a polygamist cult is in brainwashing the young women to inculcate upon their impressionable minds that everything not condoned by the prophet is evil, that they cannot go to the celestial kingdom unless they live in a plural marriage, and that the gates of heaven will be closed to the disobedient'."

9. He doesn't convince anyone -- they want to have their
UNDERAGE daughters marry him -- they're a cult, he's the cult leader, and he has men FIGHTING over the privilege to giv ethem their young daughters... why? He's the Prophet, and if he likes you, you get money, houses... and lots of young girls for you to rape.

21. Arranged marriages: I don't think the girls get a vote in the matter
Somehow it always seems to work out to the advantage of males 20 or 40 years older than their "brides."

5. Interesting.
Polygamy was gaining a foothold in violent right-wing sects back in the 80s and 90s. The Bruders Schweigen("Silent Brotherhood") who killed Alan Berg and robbed several armored cars also engaged in polygamy and embraced "Mormon Fundimentalism".

There are so many parrelels and commonalities between the extreme right-wing of that era and what we are seeing today, in both actions and rhetoric, in mainstreamed conservative politics. I don't think that this is a coincidence.

6. what I find really perverse is that they see salvation through plural
marriage...

so having sex and fathering children on a bunch of different women is seen as the way to get into heaven???

15. Its better than that, Mormons don't "go to heaven." They become gods.
This is true of the beliefs of mainstream mormons, they don't just "go to heaven." If they make the cut, they become like a god of their own little universe. Sweet deal.

19. "Bruders Schweigen"
An Open Letter to Pagans

by David C. Tate
Member, Bruders Schweigen

The subject I would like to address is one that has become an irritable thorn in my side in recent years. I would like to say before I begin that this article should not be taken as an attack against those members of movement branches which do not hold my views. But in the same sense, all should be aware that lies, half-truths, and misinformation about others are often considered attacks against them.

I am a WHITE CHRISTIAN SEPARATIST. Yet, in recent years, many have come to believe that I and the other members of The Order were all Odinists, pagans, or atheists. While a few members were Mythic Pagans, the greater number of the honorable and true comrades of The Holy Order of the Bruders Schweigen WERE Christian, ARE STILL Christian, and WILL CONTINUE TO BE Christian. This fact has not only been ignored in recent years, but has even been censored from some of the literature published by the more zealous pagan and atheist branches of the pro-White movement.

It is easy for me to understand why our Fold cannot agree with "JUDEO-Christianity" and its program of race-mixing and self-destruction. But it should also be clear to any who have studied history that Christianity as practiced by our ancestors was largely a militant, anti-Semitic (anti-Jewish), masculine religion that stood against the unnatural practice of race-mixing. Many pagan publications make it a point to never mention these facts of early Christianity, nor to define the difference between true Christianity and "modern" Jewdeo-churchianity. This is, to say the least, dishonorable. If there were no difference, my Christian Bruders of The Order and I would not now be in prison, having never joined any pro-White revolutionary group.

The Order held within its ranks representatives of the major pro-White movement branches. But by-and-large the membership was Christian; our Odinist counterparts will not dispute this. But in recent years, either due to the passage of time or purposeful omissions, this fact has become censored more and more by those movement branches who oppose Christianity in general.

One of the more blatant forms of censorship I have witnessed has been the deletion in some pagan publications of the banner which surrounds the medallion of The Order. This banner reads in Gaelic: "IS TUSA MO THUS CHATHA AGUS MO CHAISCE COGAIDH," translated, "Ye be My battle axe and weapons of war." This is a direct quote from Jeremiah 51:20 of the Bible, and the word "My" was in reference to the Christian God. There is no excuse for such censorship, the omission of this banner can be no "accident," any more than leaving stripes out of the American flag, or stars out of the Confederate flag. It was an integral part of our medallion and agreed upon by all key members of the Bruders Schweigen.

Those pagans and atheists who prefer to be anti-Christian may be so, but not at my expense, and not at the expense of the Truth. It is time to be honest enough with your people to admit the Truth - whatever Truth it is - or is it that Truth is no longer what we Aryan Separatists stand for?

Robert Mathews may have been a "mythic pagan" and he had respect for the history and traditions of our Aryan ancestors, but he was not zealously anti-Christian either. Today, some picture him to be an "Odinist" in the "new" tradition of this belief, but it did not exist then as it does today. Robert Mathews is remembered by all of us who knew him as a natural racist who loved our Race, our Heritage, and ALL things Aryan. He had a respect for hardline "Identity" and knew that Christianity was the religion of the West (not East), and that Christianity was definitely NOT the religion of the Jews. Bob also loved many of the pagan myths and legends of our ancestors - note, "many," not just Odinism.

The last conversation I had with Robert Mathews before his death and martyrdom was in a hotel room we shared when we last visited our "cell." I brought up an idea I had to bring criminals to justice that the system refuses to punish and that would leave nothing more behind as "evidence" other than a few Bible verses tagged to their chest to teach all what the Bible really said on such matters; Bob loved the idea. (Examples: Racemixers got Leviticus 20:15-16/Deuteronomy 7:1-6/Numbers 25; queers got Leviticus 20:13; banksters got Ezekiel 18:13; etc.) Bob liked the idea because it taught the Scripture to the sheeple by object lesson (it warns the wicked).

Jeff Seths, mentioned in the article. From a google grab:
~ snip ~

Wanted: Armed and Dangerous (Page 6)

....The younger Jeffs and his traveling companion, Nathaniel Allred, were cited by the Pueblo County Sheriff's Office with solicitation of a prostitute and prostitution, respectively. Allred, who is Seth and Warren Jeffs' nephew, told police he was paid $5,000 by Seth Jeffs for "sexual companionship."

Allred was "shaking uncontrollably and sweating" after deputies pulled over the vehicle he was driving that had just exited Interstate 25 and was traveling westbound on U.S. 50, according to police reports. Seth Jeffs was in the back of the vehicle reclining on a mattress.
(snip)

The gay sex scandal is rocking the FLDS community. Men may have multiple wives, but homosexuality is forbidden by the church. In fact, Seth Jeffs has at least three wives.
(snip)

If the prostitution allegations are true, Seth Jeffs would be stripped of his wives and children and be kicked out of the FLDS under church doctrine. That is, unless his brother weighs in and somehow saves him. Warren could claim, for instance, that the charges are trumped up in an attempt to discredit him with church faithful.

Brother Of Fugitive Polygamist Leader Nabbed In Colorado
FBI: Seth Jeffs Had $140K, Prepaid Credit Cards

Seth Jeffs

POSTED: 5:22 pm MST October 31, 2005

PHOENIX -- The younger brother of a fugitive polygamist leader was charged in Colorado with harboring a wanted person after the younger sibling was found with $140,000 in cash and prepaid credit and cell phone cards -- items that authorities say are generally used to help wanted people evade capture.

Seth Steed Jeffs, 32, of Hildale, Utah, was charged in federal court in Denver with harboring and concealing his brother, Warren Jeffs, president of the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, officials said Monday.

20. Found something on Warren Jeffs, from a google search
Edited on Tue Nov-15-05 04:29 AM by Judi Lynn
It's contained in a post by Liberalind2:
In November 2003, David Allen Steed had purchased a 1,691-acre ranch just outside of town, telling locals it would be used as a hunting retreat for business clients from Las Vegas.

But Mankin discovered that Steed was actually an agent for a breakaway Mormon sect known as the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (FLDS) and based in an Arizona-Utah border community long known as Short Creek (encompassing the twin cities of Hildale, Utah, and Colorado City, Ariz.).

He began researching the FLDS, and what he would learn would astonish him: stories of "blood atonement," child brides, rabid racism, multiple wives, and a secretive, religious dictator.

The more he learned, the more apparent it became that the folks at the ranch had no interest in hunting at all.

The FLDS is a polygamous religious cult led by 48-year-old "prophet" Warren Jeffs, who teaches his followers (he claims an estimated 10,000) that blacks are the descendants of Cain, "cursed with a black skin" and selected by God to be "the servants of servants."

Since taking over leadership of the group when his father died in 2002, Jeffs has demanded absolute obedience from his followers and preached blood atonement, an early Mormon doctrine dictating the extrajudicial killings of certain sinners. (Modern Mormon officials have said that blood atonement was never actually carried out, but researchers have produced some evidence to the contrary.)
(snip)

In the two years since he became prophet, Jeffs has ordered all dogs shot; closed the town zoo; forbidden television, holidays, movies and music; banned laughter; forbidden swimming and water sports, and sent "God Squads" of young men to inspect residences and report any violations of his edicts.

Marriages are arranged and performed exclusively by Jeffs in order to keep his chosen people pure. "The devil is trying to get people to go out and marry and mix with the world," he preaches, "even different colored people. That is why we marry only who the prophet says."

Strangers ("gentiles") touring the town are met with glances ranging from hostile to fearful. Outsiders, residents have been told, are "wicked."

Everywhere visitors go in Short Creek, they are shadowed by an entourage of men SUV and pickups watching their every move, taking note of where they go and who they speak with — a silent intimidation of both the visitors and anyone who accommodates them.
