Loudoun Supervisor Invokes Rival's Sexual Orientation

Loudoun County Supervisor Eugene A. Delgaudio, the executive director of an anti-gay lobbying group, has sent a series of campaign letters implying that his openly gay opponent is dangerous.

The campaign letters resemble fundraising appeals Delgaudio has sent out since becoming head of the lobbying group Public Advocate of the United States in 1981. Delgaudio has spent millions of dollars on a nationwide campaign that vilifies and ridicules gays as pedophiles and deviants.

One year before his success the 1999 election, in which he faced no opponent, Delgaudio sent a letter seeking funds to fight gay adoption. "You'll see men hand-in-hand skipping down to adoption centers to 'pick out' a little boy for themselves," he wrote.

I live close to Loudon County, and there are a lot of real scary people here....with money, and guns, and if you disagree publically with them, you might get beat, loose your career, threatened, terrorized (two cross burnings occurred in Virginia just in the last few years)....they are just bullies...always have been...

The Democratic Party of Virginia and the Virginia Partisans Gay and Lesbian Club are fighting these reTHUGlicans...


This creepy reTHUGlican, Delgaudio, actually WON the 1999 election....so now, the tiny struggling Virginia Democratic party will attempt to unseat this incumbent....it's the horror of living in the South...and lots of people do not realize how bad it is...
