Bush to see damage from California wildfires
CRAWFORD, Texas (AP) — President Bush will travel to California on Tuesday to survey damage left by deadly wildfires that have swept across the southern part of the state.

"The president plans to travel to California to view the fire damage and receive an update on our efforts to assist the people of California," White House press secretary Scott McClellan said Friday in Crawford, Texas, where Bush is staying for the next several days. "Plans are still subject to change depending on circumstances in California."

McClellan said the White House would announce later exactly where in the state the president would visit. (snip)

(snip) Bush has designated four California counties a major disaster area, and has ordered federal aid to supplement state and local recovery efforts. The president's action made federal money available for disaster-struck people in Los Angeles, San Bernardino, San Diego and Ventura counties.

The trip — Bush's 10th to the state, which carries 55 electoral votes — also gives the president a backdrop for pushing his forest initiative. (snip/...)

1. Did you see Ah-no on CNN with Davis?
With a smirk on his face, just like Junior does, he said smirkly says, 'I'LL BE BACK to Washington many times to get money.' This was at a news conference talking about the destroyed homes. And Ah-no is nearly laughing, smiling and joking about.

Davis really looked honest, sincere, empathetic, professional... I swear. This is not a bias opinion. Try to catch it for yourself and make your own judgement.

I just can't believe CA recalled Davis for Son-Of-Shit-For-Brains!

The Dems. have got to learn something from Junior and Ah-no! And I hope Dean learns something too! You can be a serious candidate like Dean ALWAYS is! The Sheeple don't vote for honest serious people. You've got to be more personable even if you're a dirty stupid shit-for-brains liar!

Which is a sad assessment of our country!

2. Life is a soundbite to these f*cking creeps
This is no model for the Dems to follow, I'm afraid.

While it's true Dean is often uptight, trying to be "personable" in the manner of Ahnold will just dilute anything the Dems have left to offer. Ahnold's banality requires him to act and talk like an action figure; nobody should copy it. As for how shallow voters have become, well, Davis isn't exactly the measure of dynamism or vision that the Dems should judge themselves by, after all.

5. Nice little empty gesture there, Georgie, but aren't they ALL!
Even a dumbass like you has got to know that Clinton would have been there ON THE FIRST DAY--the way he beat your Daddy to the LA riots. The way he beat YOU to New York City after 9/11 and flew in from Australia to do it!

And while you're telling the people of California the wonderful things you're going to do for them after the fires, please be prepared to explain why your Regime saw fit to fuck around for half a year before deciding not to help Cali with the bark-beetle infestation that was going to cause forest fires. Try to look sympathetic when you get to the part about why you couldn't spare the money.

You sorry son of a bitch. You couldn't tie Bill Clinton's shoelaces.

Feel the love?

9. Back again?
Funny the sudden "interest" and "concern" for California. No doubt he will use this occasion to push for his "Turn the National Forests to my Corporate Donors" plan.

10. And when he's done touring California, Dubya's going to tour Iraq
to see the damage he has caused there as well. Bwahahahahaha. Of course seeing Dubya is an AWOL chickenhawkshit whose main priority in life is to make sure his ass is kept safely out of harm's way, we all know there ain't gona be any tour of Iraq, especially after Wolfowitz comes to dinner at the White House and holds his hosts spellbound with war stories about his adventures at the front.
