CBS News/AP: Despite Fraud, No Revolt in Azerbaijan
CBS News

(AP) Azerbaijan has some of the main ingredients of the popular revolts that have swept through other former Soviet states in the last two years _ an election widely assessed as fraudulent and leaders accused of growing rich through corruption.

But unlike the uprisings that brought opposition leaders to power in Georgia, Ukraine and Kyrgyzstan _ respectively known as the Rose, Orange and Tulip revolutions _ Azerbaijan's opposition has been unable to marshal a massive outpouring of discontent more than two weeks after disputed parliamentary elections.

I'm rather partial to houndstooth myself, but that's not really a color.

involved with your Chamber of Commerce...

My favorite, the strategic security manager of Coca Cola on the Board of Directors, in addition to the numerous oil company representatives.

4. Yahoo: Riot police break up Azerbaijan protest
Yahoo article. It will be interesting to see whether the opposition ever attains a critical mass big enough to seriously challenge Aliyev Jr., despite the paranoid, repressive stance of his government.
