Bush being protested now in Denver
An estimated 300 people are chanting "Impeach Bush," banging on drums, pots and pans and holding signs, including one reading "Tell Bush No War."

5. Here's one way of keeping track of the travels of the Gruesome Twosome:
The FAA issues Temporary Flight Restrictions a few days before the Bushinator or Darth Cheney go anywhere, to be sure nobody flies into their Sacred Airspace. And those TFRs are listed here:

18. CNN reporter claimed "they probably didn't know we were the press"
Edited on Tue Nov-29-05 04:31 PM by SoCalDem
Future protestors need some signs addressing the press.. like:

MEDIA: Do YOUR DAMNED JOBS..

GET YOUR LIPS OFF OUR PRESIDENT'S ASS

MEDIA: STOP THE LYING

9. An open question....
....multiple choice.

Is Bush travelling the country and thinking, "Damn! Why can't I go anywhere without all these people yelling at me?"

A) Yes. He is already, and has been since before the 2004 campaign.

B) Maybe/Sort of. It's just starting to sink in now.

C) No. He's physically incapable of acknowledging that anything he's done, doing, or will do is wrong, or is anything that anyone disagrees with.

Bush and company try to sneak into town for fundraisers so they don't have to face massive protest. Kudos to the smart folk who found them out.

35. Don't forget
none of this is for his benefit. When we get out the protest voice, we are actually talking to the American people in order to turn the tide of opinion. He is inconsequential to the process. He should be used to being inconsequential.

BTW, Welcome to DU!

29. Chanting, Drumming Protesters Greet Bush
AP 11/19

DENVER - About 300 people blew whistles, pounded on pots and pans and chanted "Impeach Bush" in a noisy but largely peaceful protest before President Bush arrived Tuesday for a fund-raiser.

Air Force One landed at Denver Int'l Airport a few minutes after noon, and Bush left by motorcade for an appearance at the Brown Palace Hotel for Rep. Marilyn Musgrave.

Musgrave, a second-term congresswoman, is considered by some GOP analysts to be among the party's most vulnerable lawmakers in next year's elections. She has become a lightning rod for criticism by promoting a constitutional ban on gay marriage, a campaign she said she has put on hold while she runs for election.

40. CNN put the number at 100-150 and "apologized" to its viewers...
CNN put the number of protesters at 100-150. The CNN bimbo rather flippantly acknowledged the "middle finger" gesture and finally said something to the effect "let's move away from this video" as if she was "disgusted" by the obscenity.

I wondered if CNN, and particularly this bimbo, apologized about Dick "Go F*ck Yourself" Cheney's comment to Patrick Leahy, or about George "Major League Asshole" Bush's comment regarding Adam Clymer...

33. "time for new leadership"
"When the strongest nation in the world can be tied up for ... years in a war ... with no end in sight, when the richest nation in the world can't manage its own economy, when the nation with the greatest tradition of the rule of law is plagued by unprecedented lawlessness, ... and when the President of the United States cannot travel abroad or to any major city at home without fear of a hostile demonstration - then it's time for new leadership for the United States of America."
-- Richard Nixon, 1968

(I can't believe I'm quoting Dick Nixon to support my POV.)
