Bush rules out early pullout from Iraq as two more us troops are killed
Sat Nov 1,11:39 PM ET

The growing carnage in Iraq and its impact on regional stability were to be the main topic at the meeting of Iraq's neighbors.

In the latest violence, the US military said two soldiers were killed and two others wounded when a bomb went off in Mosul, 370 kilometers (230 miles) north of Baghdad.

"Two 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) soldiers were killed and two were wounded in an improvised explosive device attack," the division said in a statement.

Witnesses said the Americans were traveling in two sport utility vehicles that were hit by two simultaneous explosions in a central square of Mosul.

1. What say you, saigon68?
There's a theory going around DU which holds that since bu$h always does the opposite of what he says, "no pullout" means that we are going to pull out of Iraq Nam.

Frankly, I don't see it. There's simply too much money yet to be bled out of that miserable nation into the pockets of a FEW large corporations. And the Military-Industrial Complex is WAY bigger now than it was during Viet Nam I.

Even with the fact that there are increasing numbers of "private army" forces over there, I don't see how the US can pull out its legitimate troops without inviting the wholesale slaughter of the corporate mercenaries. This is something I just don't see the bu$hitas as being prepared to do. They take care of their corporate cronies at the expense of every damned thing else in the world.

If you've got any light, please shed some my way?

Best Regards,
:hippie:

7. Good Morning

Last night, when the Chopper went down I had a bad feeling.
Woke up this AM and now am really pissed off.

They are going to privatize this war. Unless one has a real combat job, all the Jessika Lynch types are going to be out of there soon. The corporations are not "Done feeding, at the Public Trough"

I think Bush will not bail out totally, but will give the illusion that we have
"PEACE WITH HONOR" (Nixon's Viet-Nam Phrase) Look for a variation of this phrase

This is sad so sad today. I'm going to Mass, will say a prayer and shed a tear or 2 I'm sure.
May God bless their souls

2. Bush says that leaving Iraq will aid the terrorists
What he doesn't get is that staying in Iraq is killing our soldiers and bankrupting our country.

5. Just give me my damn tax cuts and do whatever you want with the rest
of the country. Isn't that a sentiment of a typical Bush supporter?

This country is in for more and more tragedy at home...the forces of the universe just don't like this much evil.

As leader of the greatest nation on earth, he will not retreat and exhibit weakness. The man didn't have the brains to figure out that he went into war without an exit plan, so we Americans need to show him and his oil cronies the exit door and vote in someone who will call it Bush's Folly and step out diplomatically.
