Eight from Afghan family die in air raid-official
http://www.alertnet.org/thenews/newsdesk/ISL265228.htm

KABUL, Nov 2 (Reuters) - At least eight members of an Afghan family were killed in an aerial bombardment in Afghanistan's eastern province of Nooristan, a top official in the area said on Sunday.

The victims killed in Friday night's raid were relatives of Ghulam Rabbani, an influential tribal chief of Arsent village in the remote Vigol district, colonel Ghulamullah Nooristani, police chief of Nooristan, told Reuters in Kabul.

"The total number of casualties has not been ascertained yet, but I do know that eight people in Rabbani's house have been killed as a result of the bombardment," he said.

Nooristani did not have further details or say who may have carried out the attack, but sources in the capital assumed the raid was carried out by U.S.-led forces stationed in Afghanistan, as they control the country's air space.

4. First of all the PERCENTAGE of American being killed in both
Afghanistan and Iraq is extremely high. We only make up a tiny percentage of the population in both places. you have to extrapolate the numbers to get the real picture. For example, in a city of X ppopulation of Americans, Y number are killed every night on the streets of NY. In a city of N population of Americans, P number of Americans are killed every day in the city of Baghdad or Kabul, etc. Then the number really hit you! No matter what the lives lost are a terrible, unnecessary tragedy thanks to the Bush neocon cabal!

6. Another grim milestone.
The death rate in Afghanistan exceeded the death rate in NYC today. The Bush Administration continued in its complaints that the media is being overly negative. "Cancer and heart disease still kill a lot more people than the War in Iraq," said a senior administration official who asked that his name not be used.

7. 'More are killed on streets of NYC last night'.... a lie???
this could be easily checked out...rummy made the same claim, several time about the numbers killed in DC...and he was called on it by the DC government, who showed the rummy lied...

8 killed on the streets of New York seems high to me...is this another DOD lie???
