Iranian journalists held in Iraq may be freed soon

BAGHDAD, Nov 2 (Reuters) - Two Iranian journalists held by U.S. forces in Iraq since July will be released soon, a senior official in Iraq's U.S.-led administration said on Sunday.

Jeremy Greenstock, Britain's special representative in Iraq, told Reuters efforts were being speeded up to set up a process to deal with several thousand detainees held in Iraq.

Among them are Iranian director Saeed Abu Taleb and cameraman Soheil Karimi, who were filming for Iranian state television when they were arrested at Diwaniya in southern Iraq, four months ago, on suspicion of spying.
