Ex-President Bush: Iraq will be key to vote

WICHITA -- Former President George H.W. Bush said Thursday if Iraq is visibly better, and its democracy validated and stronger, then the 2006 elections will be very positive for those members of Congress who supported the war efforts.

"If control went to the other party -- and I honestly don't think it will -- then the administration will be on the defensive a lot more," Bush told members of the Wichita Metro Chamber of Commerce.

That will mean a more hostile Congress for President Bush, he said.

...

Bush told the enthusiastic crowd he was 100 percent in support of his son, President George W. Bush.

"Besides that, I don't need to comment on every hot topic that comes along," he said.

1. Iraq is key: GOP is toast.
One of the very few times I agree with any member of the BFEE. We can all see where Iraq is headed, and therefore where the GOP and GOP-lite House and Senate members are headed.

5. I would like to think Democrats use their common sense a lot more ...
than the present gang of thugs in control.

As I often said, common sense and compassion should be the guide lines not the maintenance of power or the acquisition of power, the factors, which have driven the Republican legislatures.

The Democrats have a chance to turn this whole thing around, appealing to people's common sense and decency. We are the party, which uses its power for the good of the general public.

The Republicans belong to a group of wolves, which will soon be eating their own. A disgusting group of narrow-minded, selfish individuals. The 35 percent who still support Bush has no excuse any longer. They are willing to accept the lies of Bush, they are willing to accept the egocentric behavior of Bush, thinking they will benefit. They are as destructive as Bush.

It's not Democrats versus Republicans It's rebuilding versus destruction. It's compassion versus sick selfishness.

8. New bulletin, water is wet, repeat, water is wet!!!
He's an old crusty ass. And he has a slobbering moron for a son*.

Wow, he must have come out of his coma. With revelations like this, it's no wonder he wasn't re-elected and his son had to be appointed.

An idiot spawns a moron*.
