IL soldiers 'among those killed' in chopper shoot-down: Sen. Durbin
No link yet, just heard it on our local news out of Decatur (ABC affiliate). :cry:

This will bury what little chance * had in IL in "04.

4. Majority appear to be from Fort Carson, CO
which just "hosted" Rumsfeld a few weeks ago and which has already suffered more than 20 lost since "hostilities ended..." On the Rumsfeld visit, the press set this up as a chance for disgruntled families to confront him on the extension of duty tours, etc., etc. It was, of course, a whitewash.

My sympathies and support to all these military families. I ache for you.

5. Illinois has already lost 16 of her sons to this war.
Today is All Souls Day in the Catholic Church. May they all find peace with God.
