CIA-linked plane landed in The Sault, logs show(Canada)
Edited on Sun Dec-04-05 07:09 PM by CHIMO
OTTAWA — A mysterious Twin Otter plane owned by an alleged CIA front turned up in northern Ontario this fall, raising unanswered questions about why it was there.

From there, the 22-seat turboprop made the short trip to the airport just southwest of the hamlet of Bar River, Ont.

A Bar River airport official said he does not discuss planes that use the facility out of respect for customers' privacy.

"I suggest you don't pursue this any further," said the official, who asked not to be named.

Prisoner Transport?

Twin Otter Devland aircraft registered to CIA front company is located at Shannon airport tonight, Sunday 7th August 05.
Twin Otter Devland aircraft owned by and registered to AVIATION SPECIALTIES INC, a Corporation believed to be a front company for the CIA, with an address at, PO BOX 9891WASHINGTON, DC 20016 US(District of Columbia County), year of manufacture, 1979, Serial no. 633, and FAA reg. No. N6161Q

We do not know what or who is being carried on this aircraft, or whether it has been searched by Guardia or airport police to ensure that it is not carrying prisoners for torture.
An aircraft owned by this company accompanied Condoles Rice through Shannon a few months ago on her way to Iraq.

Then goggling Bar River turns up a Wikipedia entry.

And further googling brings a reference to Wilmington.

1. Life is fiction for
the people running the planes. I discovered that there are a number of "plane spotters" around the world who keep track of these oddball flights. Pretty much as soon as anyone catches on to what company holds the registration, the plane is sold to another company with little more than a local attorney who handles the paperwork for the sale. Bayard Foreign Marketing was the company I was reading about, which was in Oregon. Funny thing about the people named in these registrations--no real paper trail--SSN's that are too new to be owned by real adults. Whatever...

3. What will Stephen Harper, leader of the Conservative Party, say?
He was gung-ho for the invasion a while back, and wanted Canadian troops to join in the Iraq fun. I hope someone asks him about this one. (And Martin of course).

4. If I were to guess ...
I'd wager that they were making a stopoff while transporting some "terrorists". That's just a guess from past stories about mysterious planes, though.
