Leaflets Warned of "modern" Attacks Before Iraqi Insurgents Downed a U.S. Helicopter, Killing 16
By Tini Tran Associated Press Writer
Published: Nov 3, 2003

FALLUJAH, Iraq (AP) - Leaflets seen in mosques in this tense Sunni Muslim region warned of new attacks using "modern and advanced methods" only days before gunners brought down a U.S. Army Chinook helicopter, killing 16 and wounding 20 others.

The Sunday attack on the helicopter, carrying dozens of soldiers on their way home for leave, was the deadliest single strike against U.S. forces since the war began March 20.

Three other Americans - one 1st Armored Division soldier and two civilians working for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers - were also killed Sunday in separate attacks, making it the bloodiest day for U.S. forces since March 23.

Witnesses said the attackers used shoulder-fired missiles against the Chinook, a sign of the increasing sophistication of Iraq's elusive anti-U.S. fighters as the insurgency intensifies. (snip/...)

1. used shoulder-fired missiles
something obvious has been missing from the Iraq stories...

The "rebels, Insurrgent, resistence fighters, terra-ists" (call them what you will) are using CONVENTIONAL WEAPONS

now we know that there are just stock piles of these weapons laying around, pretty much free for the taking

Baghdad Bush & Co., are still spewing the rhetoric about WMD's.

now don't you think that with all the "pro-Saddam" people that are involved in these attacks, that one or two of them would know where the WMD's are? Other news stories point to Saddam as possibly orchestrating these attacks or at the very least one of his high-ranking buddies...

if anyone knows where the WMD's are it would be Saddam or one of his high-ranking buddies....

sooooooooooooo, why are they using CONVENTIONAL WEAPONS instead of the WMD's? Could it just be that there are NO WMD's available, useable or in existence?

yep, I know Baghdad Bush is also saying, "hinting" that the WMD's were sent to Syria or Iran for safekeeping - but we also see that there are alot of "rebels, Insurrgent, resistence fighters, terra-ists" crossing the borders to join the fight - why aren't they packing a few bio-bombs when they cross the borders?

3. Iraqi insurgent's??
I have been wondering why the corporate owned news media has taken up the word insurgents lately?? Insurgent is defined as: Rising in revolt against established authority, especially a government.

Now correct me here but Iraq currently doesn't have an established government yet.

4. I think they mean to imply that the US
is the "established authority".
