Hawk protester: Paula Zahn caused `false' arrest

A man accused of stalking and harassing CNN anchor Paula Zahn because a nest for two hawks was removed from the Manhattan building where she lives has sued her for causing his "false" arrest.

Lincoln Karim says in a $1 million lawsuit against Zahn and her husband that he was injured because they "maliciously, purposefully and intentionally" caused him to be "falsely arrested and falsely imprisoned."

Karim, 43, was arrested in December 2004 on charges of stalking, harassment and child endangerment after he was accused of chasing Zahn's family near her home and reducing her 7-year-old son to tears by screaming, "House of shame! Bring back the nest!"

Zahn, who lives in the luxury high-rise building at Fifth Avenue and 74th Street with her husband, real estate developer Richard Cohen, filed a police complaint about Karim's behavior but said in January they had decided not to proceed with the case.

9. Curious how someone can make an allegation

then cause someone to be arrested, essentially hassled, then drop the charges. I guess it doesn't allow discovery of real facts to proceed.

My point is that Paula may have made a frivolous complaint, we just don't know.

Red-tailed hawks are one of my favorite raptors. One time I got within six feet of one who was perched on a pole at the beach. Pics need to be developed.

Anyone who messes with them need their XXXX pecked out.
