Cox appoints special prosecutor in Fieger case
Michigan Attorney General Mike Cox, acting on the recommendation of a group of career county prosecutors, has named a former prosecutor from the Upper Peninsula to take over a criminal investigation of firebrand attorney Geoffrey Fieger.

Patrick Shannon, 54, who served 18 years as prosecutor in Chippewa County, said he will start from scratch on the inquiry into whether a series of attack ads in the 2004, paid for anonymously by Fieger, violated the law.

4. Mike Cox and Teri Lynn Land: rePuke Scum of the 1st RANK.
Cox accused Fieger of blackmail, and when he couldn't make his case, started this hohah.

The gig is, it's BS. Cox (Michigan Attorney General-Republican) and Land (Michigan Secretary of State-Republican) both took grossly illegal campaign contributions and by NOT ACTING, and EXCUSING their supporters actions ("They just made a mistake, that's all") all the while appointing an SPECIAL PROSECUTOR to find out IF Fieger violated ANY LAWS, they show once again:

IOKIYAR (It's Ok If You're A Republican)

6. Speaking strictly for myself

I'd like to see this fight put an end to both of their respective public careers. Cox and Fieger are both smarmy, self-important, egocentric, irritating rat bastards. This fight couldn't happen between two sleeezier persons.
I certainly didn't vote for Cox (R) for attorney general and refused to vote for Fieger (D) when he ran for governor.
John
Wondering where G Mennen Williams and Bill Milliken are when you need them (yes, I know Soapy's dead and Bill's in Traverse City).

8. Bring it on.
Fieger will tear them up.
Deservedly so.
I am ashamed of democrats who do not see Cox's actions for what they are.
This is as bad as the hunting of Clinton. What's next?
At least cox has appointed someone else to investigate. It was DISGUSTING to have our attorney general investigating his OWN competition.
What a WASTE of my money.
