Bin Laden deputy praises Taleban

A tape purportedly of al-Qaeda's deputy leader has been broadcast on the satellite channel al-Arabiya.

Ayman al-Zawahri apparently praises the Taleban's continuing "control" of large parts of Afghanistan.

Al-Arabiya said it had only just obtained the tape but could not tell when it was recorded.
