A Look at U.S. Daily Deaths in Iraq (Daily update just released)
http://www.guardian.co.uk/worldlatest/story/0,1280,-3354090,00.html

As of Wednesday, Nov. 5, 379 U.S. service members have died since the beginning of military operations in Iraq, according to the Department of Defense.

The British military has reported 51 deaths; Denmark, Spain and Ukraine reported one each.

On or since May 1, when President Bush declared that major combat operations in Iraq had ended, 241 U.S. soldiers have died in Iraq, according to the latest Defense Department figures.

Since the start of military operations, 1,853 U.S. service members have been injured as a result of hostile action, according to U.S. Central Command. Non-hostile injured numbered 342.

<snip>

Add 10,000 Iraqi deaths and pray that the madness ends soon.

1. I* honestly cannot understand
why it seems that few who are in our government are not outraged at this. A man who stole the presidency in a coup, a congress and, indeed, although I hate to say it, a Democratic candidate who got more votes, did NOT see fit to challenge a stupid man who was bullying himself around. How could it hafve come to this is what I ask myself when I wake up in the middle of the night.

We have a virtual idiot running , or I should say pretending to run, in his best interpretation of what he THINKS a president should look like, and we have , by all accounts, actually murdered thousands of innocent people--that he lied--that this dumb and ignorant man lied to us in order to kill thousands of people and that this is accepted as the ordinary--as the way things go, is simply outrageous to me.

I sometime feel as though I am the only one in the world who sees this because there are few who represent the people of this country, who are saying it.

4. you are not alone, a good number of us see the same thing--
yet, I am dealing with people daily (in this heavily military town) who, no matter what the evidence, continue to parrot the line that nitwit is doing a wonderful job, and oh, well, people die in wars.
