British soldier dies in crash

A BRITISH soldier died today in a road accident in Basra, in Iraq's south, the Ministry of Defence said.

A ministry spokeswoman said the soldier's family was still being informed and no further information about the incident was immediately available.

The death brought the British toll during the war and its aftermath to 52
