Emotional memorial for victims of Chinook downing
AL-ASSADI, Iraq, Nov. 6 — Spc. Frances Marie Vega was a lover of music who wanted a career in dance after she left the Army. Her name and rank were called out in a solemn roll call. She was not there to shout ''here.''

Neither were 14 other American soldiers who died when their CH-47 Chinook helicopter was shot down Sunday by insurgents in the deadliest single attack against U.S. forces since the war in Iraq began March 20.

<snip>''Death was in the cause of freedom. They were serving our country and answering our nation's call to fight terrorists,'' said Col. David A. Teeples, commander of the regiment from Fort Carson, Colo.

....cause of Freedom?!? Invading a country where there were NO fucking terrists! I am so sick of hearing this it is a sham and a shame! RIP to the soldiers..... :(

3. They died in the attempt to roll a drunk in an alley
And to steal the drunk's wallet.

In this case the Wallet was his oil.

ten years from now this episode will appear shameful, and the realization they died for nothing will be apparent to all

VIET-NAM REDUX 2003 (next week is Veteran's day.)

I challenge anyone here to tell me THE REASON anyone who died in Viet-Nam
was described as below.

''Death was in the cause of freedom" Col. David A. Teeples

Mr Teeples needs some mental health intervention if he believes that. Worse its because of ASSHOLES LIKE HIM--- THAT WE ARE KILLING THOUSANDS OF CIVILIANS.
