The only way he could ever win NY is if he steals it through rigging.

1. New York New York

If this state is even slightly contested, Chimp will blow us away.

We need a clear win here (and Cali) so we can work on those swing states (PA, Ohio, Mich, Md, Ark, Fla, etc).

Wondering if Chimp can win in New York is like saying the Dems will take Mississippi...which we should just never even visit again.

2. New York has never voted for a Bush.
And certainly has no reason to now.

Also, we have lovely outdated lever voting machines, blessed broken down darlings that they are.

4. Students favor Bush in Harvard poll
Obviously, something's going right in this country.

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- College students are more likely to register as Republicans and support President Bush than the general public, according to a survey released Wednesday by Harvard University's Institute of Politics.
The nationwide poll of 1,202 undergraduates revealed that 61 percent approve of Bush's performance as president, compared to 53 percent of all voters.

College students, 81 percent of whom say they will definitely or probably vote in the 2004 elections, could tip the scales in next year's presidential race, the survey results indicated.

6. There's a cynical, let-everyone-fend-for-themselves attitude
Edited on Fri Nov-07-03 08:42 PM by Snellius
I've run into this often among young, college-aged kids, especially males. Everything is making it, Lexus, business, brave new world. They see the government as a obstacle to their independence and believe that helping others is a vice that only encourages weakness. If someone doesn't have health insurance or a job, it's their own fault. They are, however, on social issues very liberal, live and let live.
