(Possible BBC) Arms 'Mole' Goes Missing
Edited on Fri Jul-18-03 04:15 AM by w4rma
An official adviser named as the possible "mole" for a BBC report claiming the Government "sexed up" its dossier on Iraqi weapons, has disappeared.

Dr David Kelly went missing from his home near Abingdon, Oxfordshire, at around 3pm yesterday.

The 59-year-old, who works for the Ministry of Defence, had told his wife he was going for a walk, say police.

The family raised the alarm when he had failed to return by 11.45pm last night.

Earlier this week, Dr Kelly faced a grilling by MPs on the Foreign Affairs Committee about his conversation with BBC reporter Andrew Gilligan.

It was Mr Gilligan who filed the original report claiming the Government had "sexed up" the weapons dossier.

A Ministry of Defence spokeswoman said: "We are aware that Dr David Kelly has gone missing and we are obviously concerned."

Anyone who may have information about Dr Kelly is asked to ring police on 08458 505 505.

5. This is no coincidence.
Dear God. I thought they were a little more creative than that.

Sure, we may be jumping the gun, but what horrific implications this news event has.
