Georgian president offers to negotiate with opposition
Georgian President Eduard Shevardnadze waded into an angry crowd protesting for a second straight day yesterday over alleged fraud in last weekend's parliamentary elections, offering to negotiate with opposition leaders in a bid to ease growing tension in the former Soviet republic.

But Shevardnadze rejected demands for his resignation, saying in televised comments that he "cannot allow people who would destroy and devastate everything to come to power."

Appearing unexpectedly in front of the parliament building, where hundreds of people spent the night after a major protest Saturday, Shevardnadze was met with cries of "Go away!" from some of the demonstrators, but moved into the crowd with security escort and spoke to others, including current parliament speaker Nino Burdzhanadze, an opposition party leader.

Don't you just get tired of hearing about the citizens of the being cheated by the Power Elite!

If I were the President of the United States I'd solve all the world's problems in 4 years or The Bush Crime Family would assassinate me.
