U.S. Soldier Killed in Iraq Rocket Attack
A U.S. military police soldier was killed in a rocket-propelled grenade attack south of Baghdad, the U.S. military said Monday.
The soldier, whose name was not released, was killed Sunday night some 40 miles south of Baghdad, the military said in a statement.

The death brings to 151 the number of American soldiers killed since May 1, when President Bush declared an end to major combat.

3. perhaps a notable location of the incident

al-Iskandariyah is halfway on the road to Karbala from Baghdad, a bit further down the road from the al-Mahmudiya attack a few days ago. Not exactly within that so-called "Sunni Triangle" that the occupation propagandists & media lackeys trumpet on about..
