KHOST, Afghanistan (Reuters) - Eight Afghan government soldiers were killed on Friday in the southeastern province of Khost in an attack by suspected members of the ousted Taliban regime, a military official said.

3. The Taliban are gone from Pakistan, they are back in Afghanistan
The Karzai puppet government is another of Bush's fantasies. Karzai does not even control all of Kabul. The Afghans are tired of their warlords and the foreign troops and are now longing for the peace and law and order of Taliban rule.

The way things are playing out, in a couple of years we might find ourselves with Mullah Omar ruling in Afghanistan and Saddam back in power in Baghdad.
