U.S. expects increased attacks as Iraq rebuilds
Latest incident takes life of military policeman

BAGHDAD, Iraq, Nov. 10 — A U.S. military policeman died in ongoing attacks on coalition troops and their allies, the U.S. command said Monday, as the Army intensified operations to root out the growing insurgency and the U.S. administrator here warned of “increased terrorism."

“We’re going to have increased attacks and increased terrorism because the terrorists can see the reconstruction dynamic is moving in our direction,” Bremer, the head of the Coalition Provisional Authority, was quoted as saying in The Times newspaper of London.

Comment: This is more of that insane idea that the more attacks, the more we're succeeding. These fucking people are ghoulish scum.

1. This latest Occupation talking point is the dumbest of all!

So, attacks will increase as Iraq rebuilds? Am I the only one who sees this as idiotic?

How will Iraq rebuild if attacks on pipelines and infrastructure and civilians increases? Is there going to be a magic point in the future where attacks and rebuilding have reached some kind of mutual crescendo and then suddenly rebuilding "wins" and all the attacks stop?

This is plainly stupid.

2. It's almost as assinine
As claiming you invaded a country to democratize it and to rebuild it while simultaneously claiming your strategy all along was to turn it into the central front on the war on terror. Talk about mutually exclusive...

4. Iraq Rebuilding?
I thought it was Halliburton rebuilding Iraq at a profit akin to the rape of a nation.

6. The more we rebuild
the more they have to attack and the more money that rolls in for Haliburton et al. Perfectly logical (sarcasm)

7. the U.S. administrator here warned of “increased terrorism.”
"...As part of the new tactic, F-16 jets dropped three 500-pound bombs in the Tikrit area and blasted at least three buildings Saturday morning after the Black Hawk crashed, apparently because of hostile fire...
F-16s dropped three more bombs Saturday night in the Fallujah area after a series of ambushes wounded three paratroopers from the 82nd Airborne Division, the military said..."

Remind me again just who the terrorists are?
