4. Yes, they had 397 yesterday
and one more today.

I've been keeping the names on a posterboard for our rallies and vigils ... and it has always been impossible to keep them straight. I am now behind but there have been times when I had more names than the Pentagon admitted. I wanted to ask them who was resurrected.

The pre-May 1 number has an especially aggravating way of changing, anywhere from 137 to 139.

And none of the wounded ever seem to die, either, which is very odd. After the Chinook crashed, they did say a few days later that another soldier had died. Which seemed to correct their 15, no 16, no 15 game. But how can none of the wounded die??

5. A small number of the wounded have died.
Fortunately, if they receive prompt medical attention the rate of survival is very high. Some confusion around the numbers could be caused by the fact that 6 soldiers died in Kuwait in the lead up to the war.
