Hustler to publish topless Jessica Lynch pictures? |
|
Larry Flynt is going to get a lot of publicity for doing this. That's for sure.
Headline on Drudge:
SOURCES: NY DAILY NEWS PAGE ONE TUESDAY: 'HUSTLER' TOPLESS SNAPS OF JESSICA LYNCH; PAPER SET TO EXPLORE PENDING PUBLICATION OF YOUNG LYNCH PHOTOS...
AMBUSHED AGAIN!
--Skin mag says it has topless photos of Jessica before she went to Iraq
--War hero's spokesman rips plan to publish pix as 'unspeakable.'
From the story:
Lynch's new torment erupted the day before Veterans Day -- and on the same night she made a dramatic appearance at an awards event here in New York with fellow rescued POW Shoshana Johnson. (and Britney Spears, by the way)

1. If the public did not think it is such a big deal he wouldn't make a cent |
|
whether any young girl, Jessica Lynch, Jenna Bush or the girl buying stamps at the post office ever took her top off just does not seem either relevant or interesting, except maybe to her and her friends at the time.
There are some other news stories that seem more worthy of both ink and bandwidth,

4. Why...that unspeakable beast! |
|
Quoth the NBC TV ad the other day for the Jessica Lynch biopic: "...the story that gave a nation hope." Of course, it's also the story that was designed and disseminated in order to make Americans sentimental about war (our invaders good!) and to villify Iraqis (them ferriners bad!).
If NBC is going to engage in hagiography, what is so shocking about Flynt bringing forth his usual pornography? Both are illusions, fed to captive audiences without regard for truth. The Pentagon airbrushed Lynch's heroism; let us see whether Flynt will have to airbrush our hedonism.
