1. The scariest thing about this article |
|
is that it implies that the US and UK leaders are still listening and taking advice from Mr. Chalabi. He hasn't been right about anything so far, and has no popular support within Iraq. So why listen to him at all?
Nothing makes sense anymore.

2. I would be greatly surprised if the UK sends more troops to Iraq... |
|
...because the British people seem to have become rather resistant to that idea.

9. Chalabi is like the one of those corporate executive guys |
|
Who they put in to run a division. For a while, it doesn't matter how big of a jerk he is, they support him. They always eventually catch on and dump him, but it always takes at least a year.
I have noticed that, in general, this administration is run very much like a failing corporation.

How many other national politicians do you know who have been convicted of multi-million dollar fraud in a neighbouring country?

4. Oh, that'll go over really well |

with the Brits. Maybe when he visits, they can show Whistleass how they feel about his dragging their country into this mess.

5. Uh... where are they going to get the troops? |
|
The UK military has been stetched to breaking point, new weapons programs are crumbling due to the need to syphon finantial resources to the occupation, etc, etc, etc.
Not to speak of the political consequences this could have...
