Khamenei 'approves of Iraqi talks'

Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said tonight he approved of proposed talks between US and Iranian officials on Iraq.

But he warned that the US must not try to “bully” Iran.

It was the first confirmation that Khamenei, who holds final say on all state matters in Iran, is in favour of talks.

His comments came as US President George Bush said he favoured the talks, in which he said American officials would show Iran “what’s right or wrong in their activities inside of Iraq”.

thus proving his true intentions. his rambling earlier today was a fine example of the diplomatic games bush is playing. "the Iranians must hear there's a unified voice about -- that says that they shall not have a capacity to make a nuclear weapon and/or the knowledge as to how to make a nuclear weapon, for the sake of security of the world." they aren't CALLING this crap 'demands' just yet but will soon enough, and of course will demand things that aren't proveable, just like they did with iraq. the only real question is timing.
