Ten Commandments Judge Thrown Off Bench |
http://customwire.ap.org/dynamic/stories/T/TEN_COMMANDMENTS?SITE=HIHAD&SECTION=HOME&TEMPLATE=DEFAULTMONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) -- Alabama Chief Justice Roy Moore, who became a hero to religious conservatives for refusing to remove his granite Ten Commandments monument from the state courthouse, was thrown off the bench Thursday by a judicial ethics panel for having "placed himself above the law."

8. he was elected and he'll be elected again |
In fact, according to the news reports there's nothing in the Alabama constitution to stop him from running for chief justice again. I think, however, he'll just wait around to run for governor.
