Builders Boycott Abortion Clinic
Weeks into the project, the contractor hired to build an abortion clinic hit a brick wall: Plumbers and carpenters would not work for him. Drywall installers and heating subcontractors would not do business with him. Cement suppliers for miles around would not touch the job.

He had been hit with a boycott organized by abortion foe and construction-industry executive Chris Danze.

The builder finally quit the job this month, stopping the clinic project in its tracks, in what national Planned Parenthood officials said was the first such boycott they have ever seen.

8. These bums should be happy they have a job
I have sympathy for the millions of Americans unemployed right now but if these guys loose their jobs it won't bother me one bit.

As was said in another post here PP clinics don't just perform abortions. The one in my town provided everything except abortions. It was just a small building. If you needed an abortion I think you had to go south to El Paso.

But it closed down and now the only place to get contraceptives is at the university health center.

Economic terrorism is such a shame.

7. The thing that kills me about this behavior is
that PP clinics do so much more than perform abortions: prenatal testing, STD checks, simple sex ed, doctor referrals, general exams... yet these yaboos say crap like this:

"This is going to be a battle," Danze said. "God does not want this thing built."

Yes, God wants you to keep on suffering from that yeast infection, sisters!

9. He set this up from the beginning.
Why in the hell would he bid on the job in the first place? He's a known abortion protester and then says he can't get anyone to work for him? Bullshit.

I hope PP sues this dimwit for everything he's worth.

10. It's not a boycott. All the subcontractors were threatened
according to an article in the Austin-American Statesman earlier this week. Don't have a link.
