US has no evidence Iraq hid banned arms in Syria
http://www.alertnet.org/thenews/newsdesk/N14425320.htm

WASHINGTON, Nov 14 (Reuters) - The Bush administration said on Friday it had no evidence that any of Iraq's alleged weapons of mass destruction had been hidden in neighboring Syria.

In an interview with WTVT-TV in Tampa, Florida, White House national security adviser Condoleezza Rice defended prewar intelligence on Iraq that Washington used to justify the invasion. Despite U.S. assertions that Saddam Hussein had chemical and biological arms, none has been found.

"The American people can be certain that we went to war on solid information, on information that had been gathered over 12 years, on a history of use of weapons of mass destruction, and that we are finding confirmation that this was somebody who hid his activities from the United Nations and intended to continue those programs," Rice said.

3. The woman has no shame.
Condi Rice is the biggest liar in creation. She claims things that everyone knows are proven untrue. She must have gotten her doctorate at the same place Bush got his bogus degrees.

6. That PROVES Iraq Hid Them in Syria!!!
Remember how they were telling us that the fact they could find no evidence that Saddam had WMDs was actually the most incriminating proof that he DID have them?

Those damned dirty Syrians!

11. So why have they been spreading this misinfo?
This is what most of the zombies watching Faux believe now that they previous lies of WMD and Al Queda have been long debunked. Now what new lie will they come up with?
They have zero evidence of anything going on in Iraq, but we can be sure we invaded for solid reasons! Slap the cuffs on her.

12. She's "almost" not lying...
"...we went to war on information, that had been gathered over 12 years."
She just left out the word "ago," as in "information gathered over 12 years ago."

Syrian opposition meets in Washington
By Lou Marano
Published 11/14/2003 4:17 PM
WASHINGTON, Nov. 14 (UPI) -- The Washington businessman who heads the pro-democracy Syrian opposition credits the Iraq War for "catapulting" his group into viability. "None of this would have happened if we didn't have the Iraq War," Farid N. Ghadry said in an exclusive interview Friday with United Press International. "It was like water in a desert. Flowers are sprouting everywhere (in the Middle East). All we have to do is nurture these flowers, and we will have a field of dreams."

Opposition members are gathering in Washington for a closed, two-day session over the weekend just days after the Senate passed the Syria Accountability and Lebanese Sovereignty Restoration Act, the provisions of which are expected to be approved by the House of Representatives. The reformers are scheduled to issue a statement Monday afternoon at a National Press Club Newsmaker event.

Ghadry told UPI that after Sept. 11, 2001, a group of Syrian-Americans got together with the idea of forming a party. But timing is everything, he said, and the opportunity came with the Iraq War.
"In the last six months, we have garnered a lot of support inside Syria, in Europe and in the United States. Mostly we have been concentrating on inside of Syria." <snip>

After Sept. 11, the United States does not have the latitude to allow Bashar Assad to reform at his own speed, he said.
Ghadry said his movement needs the support of the U.S. government, but not in the form of military intervention. Nor does he seek money. Rather, he desires support for grassroots movements within Middle Eastern countries.
