Blair takes on Bush visit critics ( BARF Alert)
Last Updated: Sunday, 16 November, 2003, 01:44 GMT
Blair takes on Bush visit critics

Tony Blair has defended George Bush's controversial state visit to Britain as a chance to reaffirm shared values.

He told the News of the World the visit was an ideal time to celebrate freedom, security and a "better, more prosperous and peaceful future" for Iraq.

Anti-war campaigners have been fiercely critical of next week's trip, as violence in Iraq continues.

Lord Hattersley, former deputy Labour leader, said it was "propaganda" for Mr Bush's presidential election campaign.

I had to check it out myself to make sure the quote was for real. Yee gawds! I can't wait to see the British newspapers react to this idiocy. What the &*(^% is Blair thinking? Or smoking?

3. Three steps to anglo-American liberation
1. The British people will embarrass the impostor next week and force him out of town with his tail between his legs.

2. The British Labour Party will soon thereafter replace Blair as their leader and berate him for allowing the criminal Bush to contaminate British soil with his footprints.

3. We, the American people, will do the rest.
