BOGOTA, Colombia (AP) - Suspected rebels threw grenades at two crowded bars in a popular Bogota nightclub district, injuring at least 42 people, authorities said.

Police blamed Colombia's largest rebel group, the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia, or FARC, for the attack, which took place about 11 p.m. Saturday in the Zona Rosa district of northern Bogota and injured at least 42 people. (snip)

(snip) The Zona Rosa district is filled with expensive restaurants, and popular bars and dance clubs. The two bars hit by the grenades - Bogota Beer Company and Palos de Moguer - are frequent gathering spots for foreigners. It was not immediately clear if any foreigners were injured in the blasts, however. (snip)

(snip) Police tape set up around the scene while firefighters, police officers and U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms agents took out the victims and gathered evidence. (snip/...)
