Protests greet Rumsfeld in South Korea

(Seoul, South Korea-AP) -- Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld has been greeted by protesters in South Korea.

A small band of demonstrators shouting "Go Home Rumsfeld" picketed outside the military airport where he arrived as part of his Asian trip. South Korea is badly divided over sending more troops to Iraq and there was a much larger protest yesterday.

Earlier, in Japan, Rumsfeld said the new accelerated plan for restoring self-rule to Iraqis doesn't mean U-S troops will withdraw anytime soon. He says the June timetable relates to the governing aspects of the country, not the security aspects.
