U.S. Plants: Open To Terrorists
In the weeks and months following Sept. 11, the White House and Congress enacted new laws and regulations to tighten security at airports, nuclear power plants, and places where public water supplies are stored.

But what about the 15,000 facilities across the United States that produce or store deadly chemicals - chemicals that terrorists could use against us as weapons of mass destruction?

The Justice Department calls that threat "real and credible." Yet, two years after Sept. 11, Correspondent Steve Kroft reports that chemical plants are still not subject to federal regulations when it comes to security.

1. another invitation
The White House is probably gnashing its teeth over the lack of motivational terrorism in the US. Do they have to earn more frequent flier miles to afford the ticket?

Over and over we here the same semi-dismay, the same issues. And the silence seems to shout "Yeah? Whaddya going to do about it?"

Silence all around until a bomb goes off.

2. That 60 minutes report was eye popping
That really sin't surprising if that was pre-9/11 even though a lack of security is never excuseable. But now? No I didn't expect things to be that ridiculously lax.
