http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/ap/20031118/ap_on_go_co/congress_intelligence_1

This is the Feith memo that has been touted on FOX News and this evening on Buchanan & Press. According to the Defense Department press release, anyone propogating this erroneous information could be committing a crime!

DoD Statement on News Reports of al-Qaida and Iraq Connections
News reports that the Defense Department recently confirmed new information with respect to contacts between al-Qaida and Iraq in a letter to the Senate Intelligence Committee are inaccurate.

Individuals who leak or purport to leak classified information are doing serious harm to national security; such activity is deplorable and may be illegal.

9. Is anything new?
None of the claims in it seem significantly different than stuff that's already been reported in the media. To me the "leak" of this tenuous information is to make it look more credible because it's "secret".

11. Hey, so they're playing political games with classified information
It's not like anyone gave anyone else a blow job, so there doesn't need to be any "criminal" investigation! The Republicans are the law-and-order folks, right?
