1. GOOD LORD
this will be the day that we find out whether Bush will steamroll a bill through Congress or not.

I am so happy....yet so scared. The future of gay rights is SOOOO uncertain.

3. God
I hope they approve of gay marriage. I would someday like to be treated as an equal in my home state. If this is approved the conservatives will move into full swing though and I think the Democrats may take a hit for this.

4. Marriage
I'm so hoping it goes through... MA things can be so weird sometimes, but there's so many first and innovative things done from this state since its inception that it gives me hope that they'll come through here and in the future.

After this, time for poly to go legal!

5. What?
What on earth does polygamy have to do with gay marriage?

6. One leads to the other
Open one door and there's another door behind it. Actually, I wasn't speaking of polygamy but polyamory.

7. Polyamory? What? I Think You're On The Wrong Thread
this is about marriage rights for a people who have been discriminated against in all areas of society.

i don't get what polyamory has to do with any legal rights let alone marriage rights. you can love who you want. you don't need the courts to get involved with that.

8. You'd think so...
You can love who you want, but if you end up shacking up with them, watch how fast social services will take your children away for having them in what the state considers an unfit home environment. You know, just like how many people consider gay parents to be for kids?

10. er...
I've been here since DU started and am in no way aligned towards freeperism.

If you go back a few months to when the entire gay marriage cavalcade started and search a variety of articles, you'll find the polyamory aspect came up several places in reputable newspapers.

Unless, of course, your inference is that being in love with more than one person makes you right wing.

11. You Can't Compare That Kind of Living Arrangement To Committed Gay
long term relationships. We are saying that we have made the same committment to each other that het people have, the only difference is we are gay.

the polyamory thing is apples and oranges. you should compare that with polygamy. it multi-partner marriage which will never pass. i'm not going to waste any more time arguing about it because it's crap.

13. Multi-partner
why should multi-partner marriage not be allowed? If the legal definition of marriage is no longer confined to the union of a man and a women, under what legal justification should marriage be limited to 2 people?

16. Well, now the Thugs have a new reason to split this country in two
The super-right asswipes in the House and Senate will be screaming till the cows come home. This is going to be fun watching them self-destruct.

Watch gay-bashing reach new heights now. The Thugs will be livid, and will call for the impeachment of these judges.
