Candidates to debate elderly issues at Bedford (NH) forum
CONCORD – The six top Democratic presidential candidates will discuss the top issues facing senior citizens today at a forum in Bedford.

The event follows the release of a poll Monday that found the economy and jobs, health-care costs and the future of Social Security are the three most important issues to registered voters over 50 who are likely to vote in the first-in the-nation presidential primary.

The state chapter of the AARP sponsored the telephone poll and is hosting this 90-minute forum at the Sheraton Wayfarer.

“This is all about education, educating our members about the issues,” said AARP state director Dick Chevrafils at a news conference.

1. Isn't this kind of
suspect on their part to host a forum after they have endorsed the gop led plan? I would think education would come before so people would have the knowledge needed to make a decision on the issue. Sounds kind of backwards to me.

2. Kerry sure didn't like it
Kerry: "I respect AARP but I very strongly disagree. This is a bad deal for seniors. Our job is to fight for things that do better. I don't think we have to be satisfied with what is less than what's achievable."

3. It's going to be on WNDS in NH at 7:30 tonight.
I get that station here in Boston - I'll have to watch it.
