Man may be deported for stalking author King

BANGOR — A Czech man faces deportation for allegedly stalking the author Stephen King. Bangor police arrested Bretislav Bures, 38, on Sunday outside King's home.

Police said Bures left bizarre notes and a book in King's mailbox, and demanded to speak to King.

King's wife, Tabitha, told police that Bures approached her Saturday night while she was walking the couple's dog and demanded to see King for a matter "concerning national security."

There's a conspiracy nut who believes Stephen King was actually the gunman who shot John Lennon, and that Mark David Chapman was just a patsy. They are dead ringers, apparently. He stalked King for a while, and wrote a book on it. I doubt the book was published commercially, but maybe there's some connection here.

Probably some DUers who believe that one. Bush is supposed to be in on it.
