Reid says more info needed on phone call project

The Senate's top Democrat says he doesn't think lawmakers have enough information about the reported collection of millions of phone-call records by the National Security Agency.

Harry Reid says he thinks the entire Intelligence Committee should be briefed in detail. He spoke as he entered a meeting today with General Michael Hayden, who once headed the NSA and who's now President Bush's nominee to be CIA director.

The revelation about the phone-call collection effort caused renewed concerns among some lawmakers about whether Hayden should be approved for the CIA job. But Reid told reporters he has "no specific problems" with Hayden.
