George Bush should go straight to Hell
<SNIP>
Third -- and for this he goes to hell -- if you ask, no, if you order men and women to give their lives for a cause you call noble and just, and then they do, they die, they lose their lives, their futures, their hearts, their legs and arms, then you refuse to acknowledge them and their sacrifice, refuse reporters to take pictures of their homecoming coffins and crutches and wheelchairs, refuse to do so even symbolically, for whatever reason -- for that you go straight to hell.
I've had cause recently to consider Dante's big poem, and though it's been some time since I've actually read the infernal thing, I can't recollect a level of hell he described deep enough for similar perfidy. It is so evil on so many levels Allegheri couldn't even conceive of it
If Georgie was a man, if he had even grasshopper testicles, he'd be there, scheduling permitting, saluting every goddamn coffin that comes back, attend funerals, one or two, at the national cathedral, burials at Arlington national.
But he can't, and he can't because he knows why he ordered the war, and it's shameful and despicable beyond words. He has finally made absolutely hollow Lincoln's words, "mankind's last, best chance."
To Hell with him. Literally.
