at the British Embassy attack. I didn't catch his name. It was just on MSNBC(?).

Correct sp error in title: Consulate is a building, consul is a person.

3. I'll take that bet...
They (Bush/Blair) *need* Al Qaeda running about for the fear factor politics has become.

4. Old people hiding behind curtains because of Chimp and Poodle
There is a pervasive fear that is being mongered by these Criminals.

Not all of them are Arabs. A lot of them are rich white corporate men.

6. I think Tony just had a rude awakening
today. While W is slapping him on the back telling everyone what a great friend Tony is, Tony just found out about how W repays his friendship. Sort of like the horse's head on the foot of the bed trick.

That's because Islamic terrorists (almost certain Al Qaeda) would have no interest in attacking secular and Western targets in Turkey?

I don't understand.

Maybe terrorists don't exist. We're all dreaming. No fundamentalist would do us harm...

14. Are you laying or taking?
It should tweak out to about 9 to 5. And in that case I'll wager that in one year time, you'll be paying.

8. In the aftermath of the attacks measures
could immediately be taken to construct a
centralized and impenetrable defense and
intelligence appartus to either preempt, or
enhance, potential management of future
terrorist activity, as well as the activity of
potentially troublesome political opponents
(the Department of Homeland Security, for
example). Potentially troublesome individuals
involved in the conspiracy could be abducted,
disappeared, silenced, even executed in
complete secrecy by Military Tribunals, under
the pretense of rounding up other terrorist
cells and enemies of the state (Guantanamo Bay).

9. My God
These guys are savages - this is nothing short of an attempt to destroy Turkey economically, politically and socially. This is Turkey's September 11. It could change the region dramatically - with any luck it will be in a way that will run counter to the interests of Qaeda. But it could also change Turkey politically, and for the better. We need to get the word out that Islamic fundamentalism is not the answer to institutionalized corruption and incompetence.

than the savages in BCF that are trying to destroy the world economically, politically and socially?
