Liberal Radio Network Sold to New Group
this doesn't look good. if the dnc runs it, we can just expect something mccaulliffe-esque and not the populist voice this country needs. the way things are going, it looks like this thing is dead on arrival anyway

Liberal Radio Network Sold to New Group

ASSOCIATED PRESS

CHICAGO (AP) - A group headed by a former adviser to the Democratic National Committee has taken over the effort to create a liberal radio network to compete with conservative talk radio.

Mark Walsh, who's also a former America Online executive, said his investors' group bought the proposed network from the venture capitalists who started AnShell Media L.L.C. in February. The purchase price was not announced.

At the time, Sheldon and Anita Drobny said they had lined up $10 million and hoped to be on the air by this fall. But the Drobnys never hired any talent, purchased any stations or signed any distribution contracts.

1. They are stupid
to think that we will listen to this because it is left-of-centre. I am going to expect them to talk about green and democrat issues, not just democrat.

I have noticed that some of the progressive radio announcers that I have listened to haven't turned out to be the progressive I have thought of. For example, I don't think Bernie Ward likes the Greens, but he is left-of-centre. I hope Ed Shultz doesn't turn out to be the same DLC shrill head.

2. This is just sad

Good to know we liberals are so on top of the situation.</sarcasm>
