'Villagers contracted HIV by selling blood' - China
Beijing - Dozens of villagers in north-eastern China have contracted HIV by selling blood and at least 20 have died from the disease, a human rights organisation said on Friday.

Blood tests have proven that 62 villagers from Soudengzhan in Jilin province have the disease, part of a total of 300 people who may be infected, said the Hong Kong-based Information Center for Human Rights and Democracy.

"It is urgent to get the spread of disease under control in the area," Frank Lu, who runs the organization, said in a statement.

Government officials at various levels have covered up the infections to protect Liu Baozhong, party secretary of Soudengzhan, who has been singled out for praise by former President Jiang Zemin, Lu said.

Is a government letting corruption run rampant and/or lack of action by a government which leads to hundreds of thousand of deaths as guilty as a country's leader who directly kills its citizens through police/military action?

The loaded question is directed towards why Bush doesn't invade and occupy China which has killed millions of its citizens in the time period Saddam killed thousands. (And since I haven't been to Iraq or seen the evidence I'm giving this one to the Media Whores even though most are puppet liars. But I have been to China and have first hand seen what's going on there.)
