Fletcher Wants C-J's Questions In Writing
Gov.-elect Ernie Fletcher (R-KY) is refusing to answer any questions from the Courier-Journal unless the newspaper submits them in writing.

Fletcher spokesman Wes Irwin on Tuesday advised a Courier-Journal reporter of the new policy after the newspaper published a story reporting that some members of Fletcher's transition team had conflicts or other business with agencies Fletcher had assigned them to study.

"That's the new format we have set for The Courier-Journal," Irwin said, "And that's the way we will respond to any and all questions."

1. They won't........
be happy until they control the media 100%. Hey it's worked for Bush, why not try it on the local level as well? These assholes don't want to be held accountable to anyone or anything. Yet people continue to elect the Republicans. It's looking more and more certain each day, that I'll be looking for a new country in which to live in the near future. America is going down the conservative drain.

3. OK
The C-J should ask all the questions of Fletch on its front page, too.... every day. I believe then they might relent somewhat.

5. I think that might get their attention...
Didn't take long for that right-wing arrogance to rear it's ugly head, did it?

4. any media that receives that
type of ultimatum should reject it out of hand and refuse publicly to abide by such.

Anything less would give the impression of a less than honest public debate.

Arrogance should not be countered with capitulation.
