Placards and pub lunch for Bush in Sedgefield - Guardian Update

http://www.guardian.co.uk/usa/story/0,12271,1090521,00.html

'Striking a completely different note, Kelly Smith, a Texan who lives in Sedgefield, draped herself in the US flag and made a lone stand in support of her president.

Harangued by other protesters, Ms Smith said she was a "patriotic, conservative" American who had supported Mr Bush as an overseas voter in the last presidential election.'

Good advert for ending overseas voting, eh!

I just can't see Air Force One at Teeside Airport.

9. He thought he was being cute...
I was hitting my bong this AM and turned on CNN to see chimpy strut into the bar area, cameras clicking non stop and as he walked by he grabbed the beer tap for about 2 seconds and walked on with that stupid shoulders bouncing "u-huh -uhh-huh " fucked up beavis laugh that he thinks is so cute.

Made me sick, had to flip the tv to cartoons to enjoy the rest of my bowl.

5. If you don't live in a country, don't vote in their elections
I have a British Passport, but I'm not going to inflict my vote on people who have to live with it.

6. all very jolly isn't it, but I can't get the image of Ali out of my head
or all the other maimed Iraqi civillians and allied soldiers, all the grieving relatives who family members have died, while these two continue their pathetic game of spin.
Don't they have any sort of thoughts about those that have suffered. I really am beginning to hate them.

The mofo used Air Force One to travel to County Durham, and then 10 miles by helicopter???

How much worse did he make global warming so he can eat some crappy £15 meal.

Edit:

And why didn't he wear one of those US/UK flag pins like Blair does when he visits the US?

I find his lack of reciprocal respect offensive.

Okay, that's a really minor grumble when the guy's killing thousands... sorry.

Attacks on British interests in Turkey yesterday and these two out pubbing today. Tony doesn't get it. This is more serious than keeping a stiff upper lip and carrying on in the face of adversity, since his " special relationship" with Bush* ( not to mention the sleep over with the Queen) painted a big target on Britain.

Never worked a day in his life. Daddy & Mommy took special care of junior. The Queen know a phoney, ya can fool her. And I bet she's glad junior took it on the arthur duffy. (leave)

15. It seems the Blairs chose the low-rent lunch

so as not to embarrass their unsophisticated guests:

All four had cream of leek and potato soup followed by fish and chips and a lemon creme brulee for pudding.

The former French prime minister, Lionel Jospin, was a guest of Mr Blair's in 1998 at the country pub, when he dined on a starter of mixed sea foods and a main course of sea bass.

Mr Blair had on that occasion eaten celeriac and Northumbrian smoked cheese followed by a fillet of Cowell Peninsula salmon.
