2 legislators want retailers to stop offering best-seller

Best-sellers were once made by being banned in Boston.

Now a pair of New Jersey state legislators are trying to ban a book already atop the best-sellers list.

Once again, the book stirring all the controversy is Ann Coulter's "Godless: The Church of Liberalism."

"No one in New Jersey should buy this book and allow Ann Coulter to profit from her hate-mongering," the two said in a joint statement. "We are asking New Jersey retailers statewide to stand with us and express their outrage by refusing to carry or sell copies of Coulter's book. Her hate-filled attacks on our 9-11 widows has no place on New Jersey bookshelves."

11. All of Coulter's books are like this ...

... they are pre-purchased, in bulk quantities, by RW groups. Once delivered, they are 'dumped' at discount stores for pennies on the dollar.

I live in Toronto, and when "Scandal" was allegedly a best seller, there were tons of them littering the 'dollar stores', where they were being sold for $4.99 each (retail price here in Canada, due to the exchange rate, was $39.99).

I have a friend who works in the book publishing business, and she told me that ALL of Coulter's books have been 'sold' this way.

Someone actually asked Coulter about it on a talk show - she hit the roof! They mentioned that all of her books have the "BULK SALES" icon next to them on the published 'best seller' lists. Her response was that ALL conservative authors have the "BULK SALES" icon placed next to their titles by the unscrupulous 'liberal' groups who compile the lists!

For the groups who buy these books (literally by the carton), it's just a way of promoting their agenda. They get Annie to the top of the lists, and then point to it as proof that she appeals to a broad range of people. They lose money on the deal, but consider it to be a 'contribution' to the party.

they could send money for aid relief, think of how many they could feed in Darfur for what they
are wasting on this filth. Think if they used the money for cancer research, etc. How many
people they could help in one day, including little children suffering. I have heard there
is a new documentary out that tracks 4 children that are cancer patients. It is called "Lion
in the House." If they hate humans, they could donate to clean up the sea, one positive act
is better than one hundred insults.
