Biden visits, vows presidential run (NH)
http://www.fosters.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20060618/NEWS03/106180144

DOVER — U.S. Sen. Joseph Biden of Delaware made it known in no uncertain terms that he intends to make a bid for the presidency.

Appearing in the Waldron Towers Community Room on Green Street Saturday night, Biden announced his decision.

"I'm running for president, flat out," he said.

Addressing a packed crowd of guests in the building's muggy basement, Biden stressed the importance of being blunt and bold in the 2008 presidential campaign. He said Democrats must let the public know what they believe, what they plan to do about it, and how they plan to do it.

Ever.

Bastard sells us out to the banking interests every chance he gets. He's a mealy-mouthed nothing. Not Presidential timber.

4. And we do know what Biden believes in: The Long War!
This week Biden voted in support of the Republican "Stay-the-course-until-the-cows-come-home" Iraq war resolution.

Just because he is king of the Sunday Talk shows does not make him presidential material.

8. Biden is the sound of one hand clapping
What he is clapping is below his own belt. A Biden run for the WH is an exercise for one that involves closed eyes and a lot of imagination. ;)

14. This is the problem
Most people, and I am talking about democrats, don't look at things the way people on DU do. They think Joe Biden is A-OK. Democrats are not different than republicans when it comes to seeing the hacks in their own party.

15. I know a lot of Democrats
and not one of them thinks Joe Biden is a-ok. They see him as someone who will completely annihilate a Bush nominee, come up with point after point about why they shouldn't have the position they're nominated for ... and then turn around and vote for them! I like most Democrats (although that's changing, as of late), but I would never in a million years give my money to or vote for him.

20. Coward and a plagiarist
And more than anything, just another asshole politician. I hope he learns right from the start that no one wants him.

What the fuck is it with some of these people? I mean seriously, are they that stupid? Do they really think that they're presidential material? I guess they see how a moron like the dimson was able to get into the white house, but I guess they believe their own lies about how he got there.

JC, I can't stand most of these asses! If any of them had had balls like Kerry, Kennedy, Dean, Edwards or Boxer all along, dissenting even when it was dangerous, perhaps some of them could be held as heroes in our mind. But not one stinking one of them did anything to nullify their cowardice. The one I hold most in contempt is Daschle, but at least he's out of there, the sniveling ass. There are definitely MANY Dems who are unworthy of their party, and people like Biden top the list.

From the day * stepped into the oval office(illegally) Biden, just like good old Joe has voted with *. And since the MBNA deal he deserves no respect from the people.

27. If I strongly favor other Democrats to Biden, I strongly favor Biden over
any Republican who is anywhere NEAR the GOP nomination.

I don't believe his chances are great, but on the merits, I loved his white-knuckled punch at John Bolton, and after 6-8 years of twisted, territorial foreign policy, it wouldn't hurt to have Biden's global geopolitical perspective regarding our allies.

Leaders of other nations need to be able to look with respect to the U.S. president and with the current president, they can't.

Biden would have a much steadier, humane hand in foreign policy than we've seen in recent years.

29. Good point. I can't stand Biden, but the "anyone but a Republican"
makes all kinds of sense. I'm happy he'll be around New Hampshire for the next couple of years. Maybe I'll get my chance to confront him about his love affair with the credit card companies.
