China reaffirms N.Korea ties ahead of nuclear talks
Wonder if this a warning to the Chimp that if he invades N Korea he had better have lots of troops?

BEIJING, Nov 22 (Reuter) - China has reaffirmed its friendship with its impoverished neighbour North Korea just weeks ahead of expected six-party talks on the reclusive communist country's nuclear ambitions.

Chinese Vice Premier Zeng Peiyan addressed a reception on Friday marking the 50th anniversary of an economic and cultural cooperation agreement between China and North Korea, Xinhua news agency said.

"China will further the economic and cultural cooperation and bilateral friendship in the spirit of inheriting tradition, facing up to the future, promoting good-neighbourly friendship and enhancing cooperation," Zeng was quoted as saying.

U.S. Assistant Secretary of State James Kelly said this week that Washington was working to line up a new round of six-way negotiations to resolve the North Korean nuclear crisis but a December meeting was not certain.

1. Yes the United States of McNesia
...need to be reminded that China has a strategic interest in the peninsula that it will fight over.

This doesn't mean that Korea can't be unified under S.Korean leadership. Unification might be acceptable for China if the US would get off the mainland. What it means is that the N.Korean regime won't be eliminated by force. Some deal could possibly involve a transitional period for Taiwan with the object of repatriation.

Recently there were unclassified reports of Chinese troop movements north of the N.Korean border with China. I don't know whether these are reliable reports but I would expect the Chinese to increase their military posture as a result of the recent crisis. War there is much more likely than across the Formosa straits as some people have speculated upon recently due to China's public statements.

The post Korean war arrangements in east Asia won't last forever. The balance of power there is changing.

2. OOPS - has GeeDubya got China upset now too ??

. . Don wanna feck with China

. . Dey be waiting to pick up the pieces when weenie USA falls apart - -

China's 1.5 BILLION people compared to the USA's 280 million

China's military is OVER 2.5 million - and they won't have to feck around with a draft to get more

And that movement around North Korea's border -

I suspect that is to swamp North Korea with SUPPORT should the Murikkkans decide to "pop in"

The BFEE has greatly woken up the European and Asian people with their last two years of Warmongering

It is my opinion that without some DRASTIC change of policy of the Murikkan Gov't (which I wouldn't bet a nickle on)

Bush and his gang of thugs have begun the "Fall of the American Empire"

Said it before - I'll say it again

ALL Empirical countries have been recorded in History as

"The rise and Fall of . . . . "

hmm get it guys ??

EMPIRES don't last !!

Just My Humble Canuk Opinion
