Twin blasts rock Iraq: witnesses

A massive explosion has been reported outside the main police station in the Iraqi town of Baquba, north of the capital Baghdad.

Witnesses say the blast has left a huge crater in the ground.

A second blast has hit the small town of Khan Bani Saad, between Baquba and Baghdad, police officer Ali Talib said.

Police says there have been casualties, but there are no details at this stage.

Look at its web page. Not a lot of good news on Iraq. From the looks of things it took the "harrowing experience" of one their own to start the journey.

10. this certainly helps the US recruitment drive for iraqi police officers
those who want to live in peace are getting torn to pieces. soon, i expect to see civil war break out there.

eventually, the "insurgents" will have to start killing more and more iraqi "collaborators," which either will cause the entire nation to side with the insurgents or precipitate a counter-movement by normal iraqis to fight against them; civil war. the nastiest kind of war imaginable.

it is increasingly apparent as the days pass that only the japanese decision to attack pearl harbor rises to the level of arrogance and sheer stupidity the US has shown in attacking iraq.
